Holiday Giving

The Deptford Rotary Club decided to give to two organizations this year for our Holiday donations.  We delivered a check for $1,000 to the South Jersey Food Bank in December which was used to feed about 300 families in need. We also delivered a check for $1,000 to the Mayor's Toy and Food Drive in the Township which was used to help supply food, gifts and toys to 125 families in Deptford Township.  Both organizations were extremely grateful for the generosity of our club. 

In addition to the Holiday giving we also donated $200 to a local Church Group who prepare and deliver "Blizzard Bags" for the winter months to those Seniors who participate in the Meals on Wheels Program.  The bags contains non-perishables in case the Meals on Wheels cannot make a delivery in severe weather.  This is a recurring program for our club and the church.
